When You Think You Should Be Further Along
Have you ever had the thought that you should be further along?
If so, this is just your brain trying to use it’s old mechanism (pressure) to motivate you. Because it’s worked before.
It’s worked…but it’s not fun. Far from it, since “I should be further along” tends to be a part of the bigger story that you’re doing something wrong or (worse) that there is something wrong with you. And that, my friends, is one of the most debilitating, shame-inducing thoughts you can have.
I know, because I’ve had it too. It’s paralyzed me and kept me spinning in place, making less money, not reaching my full potential — and then feeling frustrated with myself on top of it all because I see exactly what’s happening, but can’t seem to break the cycle.

It’s kinda like upgrading your mental and emotional diet from snack foods to whole foods. You run a lot more efficiently, and feel a heck of a lot better.
