The phrase "falling in love with the journey" gets thrown around a lot, but what does that actually look like in real life?
The specifics are different for everyone, but I like to think of it as feeling a sense of true satisfaction on a day-to-day basis.
It's the ability to have fun, relax, and enjoy yourself — even when you're not achieving things or reaching huge milestones.
And...it requires many high achievers' worst nightmare: slowing down.
If you're used to moving 100 miles a minute, I know slowing down can feel really scary — like you might lose momentum or progress towards your goals.
I promise you the opposite is true.
Slowing down ultimately gives you the resources to speed up your results.
But, don't just take my word for it.
I want you to experience this for yourself!
Here's an easy way to get used to slowing down: start noticing, one by one, the little moments of joy in your day-to-day life.
That's it.
Soak up things like...
Quiet mornings with the perfect cup of morning coffee
Deep conversations with people you love
Moments at work where you feel extra creative or lit up
The joy of making a new connection
The rush of endorphins after a workout
How the sunlight streams in through the windows at golden hour
The way the sunset paints the sky full of color on an evening walk
I know your life is already full of beautiful moments just like these.
Now it's up to you to start slowing down long enough to notice them.
Bonus points if you log them on your phone or in a journal!
And while this practice may take some extra effort up front, it's so, so worth it.
Because at the end of the day, "falling in love with the journey" is really about getting to enjoy more of your life.
And what could be more worthwhile than that?
To living full out,
Megan
