[Free Guide] Enjoy Guilt-Free Time Off This Week

Yesterday my husband Will popped into my office and said, “It’s gonna be a perfect beach day tomorrow...Should we go?!”

It took about 10 seconds for me to check my calendar and then respond with a resounding YES!

So today we ate fish tacos while watching surfers, and then strolled along the ocean soaking up the sea breeze and all the sounds of kids playing in the sand.

Years ago I would’ve definitely hesitated before saying yes to a fun, spontaneous plan like this.

I would’ve felt guilty taking the day off, especially when it’s already a holiday week.

I would’ve sat at my computer doing tasks I created for myself simply because I felt like I should.

And I would’ve thought: “I have too much to do. Plus, who am I to go to the beach on a random Tuesday??”

Well. I’m a business owner who gets to make her own rules ;)

And here’s what I’ve learned during the past 8 years of running my business: There are times it’s beneficial to hunker down and get sh*t done, times it’s best to take a break and rest, and times where you get to pivot, change around your schedule, and say YES to an impromptu day off simply because you can!

This is truly one of the biggest perks of being your own boss.

But I also know that giving yourself that flexibility and permission can be easier said than done.

If you find it hard to step away from your business and relax without guilt, I’ve got something for you: it’s a guide I created called "The Entrepreneur’s Guide to Guilt-Free Time Off."

Now is the perfect time to go through it and gift yourself some serious R&R the rest of this week.
