Selling as Service: A Gift to Your Soulmate Clients

Do you ever struggle with finding the right words to promote your offers?

As business owners, it's easy to get stuck in our heads and doubt ourselves when it comes to selling. But what if I told you that selling can bring joy to both you and your ideal clients?

Today I received an email from a company I love suggesting their product as a Mother's Day gift. As soon as I opened it I was like "Yes! This is it!" and purchased the gift. I found myself feeling legitimately grateful to the company for sending this sales email and planting the idea in my mind. It was the exact solution I was looking for...but hadn't yet discovered on my own!

Then it hit me: this is how our ideal clients feel when we share about our offers in a way that lands with them.

Sometimes it takes presenting our offer over and over again...

But it can also be as simple as sending ONE email with exactly what an ideal client needed to hear that day.

Here's why this is important to remember:

Our brains are wired to think about the worst-case scenario...and all the people who don't want to work with us.

With clients, I often see this show up with questions like "What if no one buys?" and "What if I'm annoying people with my emails?"

When this happens, it's helpful to redirect our brains as needed in the other direction.

An easy way to start doing that is using "what if..." statements.

Here are some examples to play with:

  • "What if this is exactly what someone needs to hear today?"

  • "What if this offer solves the exact problem they're feeling stuck around right now?"

  • "What if my ideal client feels a wave of relief wash over them, just knowing that I'm here and available to help them?"

I believe that selling is service, and a true gift to the clients we're meant to work with.

So connect the dots for your soulmate clients.

Take the guesswork out of it.

Make it so easy for them to see that YOU are the perfect person to support them on their journey.

They will be so glad — so grateful  — that you did 💖
