3 Steps to Honor the Season You're In

Honoring the season you're in (physically, mentally, emotionally and/or spiritually) is key to thriving in every aspect of your life and business.

And doing so is as simple as following the 3 steps below:

Step 1: Identify what season of life you're currently in

A season doesn't have to be a literal one like Summer or Fall. It can be also be a month, a week, a day...or you can remove timelines altogether and define yours based on what's going on in your life/business right now.

This step is all about checking in with yourself, exploring what's present for you, and noticing what you feel called to do (or not do) at this time.

Step 2: Decide what honoring this season looks like practically

Get clear and specific about what you will/won't be doing during this chapter. Set up some guidelines that are easy to follow (i.e. not taking on any additional clients until September, and adding anyone who's interested in working together to a waitlist until then).

It's often helpful to add in some kind of timeline to help your mind get on board with making these decisions.

Step 3: Follow through on what you decide

Remember that there's no right way you should/shouldn't be spending your time. What you feel called to do or not do is your compass, and the more you honor this inner wisdom, the better you'll feel.

Let's say every part of you wants to relax, unplug, and spend more time outside this month. Yet you also feel guilty, like you should want to work more, launch something, or spend more time at your computer instead.

If you pressure yourself into working, I can assure you it won't be a fun or productive use of your time. But if you allow yourself to play, rest and recharge, you'll fill up your cup and create space for the desire to work more to emerge. And when that time comes, which it will, you'll have a full tank of gas ready to dive in and stir up some powerful momentum.

Or, maybe you want to work more right now, but feel like you should be out there living it up and enjoying summer instead.

If this is you, trust your desire to create. You're in this mode right now for a reason, so let yourself delight in it as much as you can. Relish in how good it feels to be full of ideas, inspiration, and motivation. Let it flow through you without restraint and ride that wave while it lasts. You'll know when it's time for more R&R.

Last but not least, remember that all seasons come and go.

Whatever you decide is temporary.

It's safe to take the pressure off and lean into what feels right in this moment.

Your mind, body, and spirit will thank you :)
