How to Unplug from Work This Weekend

Today I'm sharing a quick, 4-step process to make the most of your time off.

But first, here's what you need to know:

The more deeply you rest and relax this weekend, the more productive and energized you'll feel heading into next week.

There is a direct correlation between the two.

And being half-in/half-out with unplugging (a.k.a thinking about work or even doing work during designated time off) takes away from both your downtime and your work time.

Your mind needs rest just like your body does after an intense workout.

So let's give that beautiful brain of yours a break, shall we?

Trust me, there will be plenty of time to work on your business next week.

And your Future Self will be SO grateful for the reset.

You in?

Now's the time to officially decide you're making rest the priority this weekend.

Then, simply follow the 4-steps below whenever you slip into thinking about work:

  1. Notice what's happening

  2. Name it without judgment ("oops, thinking about business" or "oops, scrolling on Instagram")

  3. Jot down anything you want to remember in a journal or the notes app on your phone

  4. Redirect your energy and attention back to the present moment

Rinse & repeat as needed...

And notice how different you feel on Monday :)

P.S. In The Joyful CEO, my group for coaches, we get your business and your life working beautifully together.

You learn how to be all-in when you're working (experiencing peak productivity, creativity, and flow in your business), and all-in to enjoy your life outside of work when you're off.

If you desire a deeply satisfying day-to-day filled with peace and positive energy inside & outside of your business, I'd love to have you join our Fall round of the group.

The next step is setting up time for us to connect and make sure it feels like a full-body YES.
