What to Expect When You're Breaking Old Patterns

If you're reading this right now, I'm willing to bet you love personal growth and development as much as I do.

The ability to rewire your thinking, shift how you show up in the world, and create new results IS pretty amazing, after all.

But here's the part that's easy to overlook:

Making the changes you want often comes with a heaping dose of discomfort.

It tends to go like this:

You start to see things in a new way.

From a place of clarity, you make a decision to do something that supports your growth.

Then, when it's time to actually act on that decision, part of you will start pumping the brakes.

I see this kind of resistance come up a lot around decisions like: setting new boundaries, saying no to things you've said yes to in the past, and acting on new inspired ideas that require a pivot in your business.

Deep down you still want to make those moves, but as soon as you get close to taking action, your mind starts sounding the alarm bells like: "They're doing WHAT now?!"

In these moments, here's what I want you to know:

The discomfort you're feeling is normal.

In fact, it means you're right on track.

You're in the process of actively breaking an old pattern.

So of course it feels weird.

Let the discomfort be there.

Even better, tend to it.

Remember why you’re wanting to grow in this direction in the first place — and what's waiting for you on the other side.

And trust that everything you're experiencing is both a normal and important part of your journey forward.

Proud of you,
Megan
