Make This Tweak to Shift Out of Overwhelm Fast

Today I'm sharing a quick and easy way to feel less overwhelmed.

Look at your to-do list, and identify any projects disguised as tasks.

Think of a project as anything that requires multiple hours/days and involves a ton of smaller tasks.

And think of a task as something that’s completable in one sitting.

“Update website” is an example of a project.

Whereas the individual tasks themselves are more like: edit home page copy, choose new photos, or add new client testimonial videos.

Notice how each of these tasks is specific and something you could realistically accomplish in 30-60 minutes.

When you put projects on your to-do lists, it’s easy to over-schedule yourself and feel so overwhelmed you don’t even start.

But when you focus on smaller tasks, you set yourself up for success.

You get to bask in the feeling of accomplishment way more often.

And you get to ride the momentum you create into the rest of your day and week ahead.

Cheers to that,
Megan
